The Cocktail Series is a collection of 7" singles designed to showcase some of Calgary's best indie bands. Funding and promotion is provided by the Ship & Anchor record label, Shiprec'd, in conjunction with the bands themselves. The Cocktail Series has released 4 editions to date with more to come. The Snowball Edition has singles from Straight and Knucklehead, The Marguerita Edition is Placebo4 and The Puritans, The Bloody Mary Edition is Loudmouth and Huevos Rancheros, and The Blue Ruin Edition has Forbidden Dimension and The Curse of Horseflesh. Shiprec'd is moving into the realm of CD publishing with a joint Sloth Records/Shiprec'd release from the Earthquake Pills and hopefully more down the road.
